A new logo and website blossom

A new business venture requires many elements to come together. When I met with the co-founders of the publishing company they already had a logo design which used a photograph of cherry blossoms. Although it was a nice photo I explained that photos rarely work well as logos. A logo can be used in many forms, from the size of a business cards to billboards. At a small size, the photo would lose quality and readability. I suggested an illustration would maintain the look they wanted and still retain integrity at any size. Once the clients approved of the cherry blossom design, I presented a few options with different fonts for the logotype. When the design was finalized we were ready to work of the website.

Using WordPress, I designed and built a website to attract new authors to their services. The design incorporates cherry blossom photos and the color palette is heavily influenced by those images. The homepages outlines the process and features latest releases. The packages page uses a pricing table to clearly communicate the different levels of options. The site is ready to continue blossoming as their business does.
