Sharing a personal journey and launching a new business
When I was approached by this client, she was looking for a logo design for her new business. As a Nutrition & Wellness Consultant, Marlo had noticed that similar businesses usually had an apple as part of their logo and she didn’t want to look like everyone else. She had an idea for a rainbow prism instead. Interestingly, I discovered that rainbows are believed to be a promise of good things to come. After learning Marlo’s story I saw that idea was what was behind her work. Using that idea as a basis, I developed a logo that incorporated an abstract prism that carried the rainbow colors into the name of her business, Nutrient Fit. Once finalizied, I prepared various file formats of the logo for online and printing uses.
More recently, she was ready to work on a full website for her services. She had a “Coming Soon” page which served as a placeholder where visitors could fill out a contact form but didn’t learn very much about her services. As Marlo provided content, I looked for images that would work well on her website. Vibrant images of food compliment photos of Marlo. Her “About” page is very personal where she shares her own struggles and inspirational journey to get healthy. It’s a great example of what I urge to clients to do to make a connection with their audience. The site has lots of white space that help keep the focus on the content. The site not only promotes Marlo’s expertise and services, it expresses her passion for what she does.
