South Bay Apiaries

A sweet website project!

One of the things I really enjoy about the work I do is learning new things. Sometimes I learn how to use a new program. Sometimes I learn about a new process. With this project for South Bay Apiaries, I learned a little about beekeeping. A Long Island-based business that produces local honey and hand-crafted bee keeping supplies needed a new site. The old one didn’t reflect how many products South Bay Apiaries had for beekeeping. The previous URL didn’t use the name. A new domain was purchased. The new site’s colors were inspired by the golds and oranges of honey and honeycomb. White space keeps the focus on the important information. The owner is very happy to share photos of his beekeeping skills and they are shown throughout the site. SEO elements were incorporated to help this new website rank well.
