Liminal Integrative Mental Health Counseling

A place for new beginnings

Working closely with the client, we developed a brand identity and website that authentically reflected the vision and philosophy behind Liminal Integrative Mental Health Counseling. From the beginning, the client had a clear understanding of the message he wanted to communicate. He provided personal and professionally photographed images that captured the calming, reflective atmosphere he envisioned, allowing us to create a website that felt both welcoming and meaningful. To establish the visual direction, I created a mood board featuring a carefully curated color palette of soft greys and warm tans, complementary typography, and imagery that conveyed peace, openness, and transformation.

The logo design was inspired by the meaning behind the word *liminal*, which comes from the Latin word limen, meaning “threshold.” Liminal represents the space between what was and what is emerging—a place of possibility, growth, healing, and new beginnings. Together, we developed a logo that evokes the feeling of a portal or doorway, symbolizing the journey clients take as they move through life’s transitions toward healing and personal transformation. Every design element, from the colors and typography to the imagery and layout, was intentionally chosen to create a calming, trustworthy online presence that reflects the practice’s compassionate and integrative approach to mental health counseling.
